Welcome to my music space! As someone who spends most of my waking moments listening to music, I naturally find myself compiling lots of silly playlists and mixtapes. This page is a place for me to post these, as well as to chat about some of my favourite artists, songs, and albums. Do note that I am by NO STRETCH a music reviewer or journalist, but simply an individual very passionate about sharing the music I enjoy with others.
Note: all images will open Spotify or Bandcamp links, apologies if they're not your preferred platforms for listening!!
Some playlists I'm spinning a lot at the moment:

Life-changing albums (real)
1 - Car Seat Headrest: This is the first of the numebred 'lo-fi' (I feel this term oversimplifies the sound, but it's okay as shorthand) albums by Will Toledo, at this point in his career working independently under the project name Car Seat Headrest. Of course, this would later also become the name for the full-band efforts of Toledo alongside Andrew Katz, Seth Dalby, and Ethan Ives, whose work I am also very fond of. The numbered albums were, however, my real introduction to Toledo and his projects, and this first effort in particular really captures a unique adolescent anger and innocence, all wrapped up in the fuzzy sound of an 8-track recording in a car. Young Toledo's songwriting really lends itself to this 'messy' production (or lack thereof) and stripped-back presentation. This is really great stuff and will be particularly well-liked by fans of Daniel Johnston and other outsider musicians. Favourite track: happy/ugly
